"Can I confirm there is no spam filtering on shared Solaris?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-13 21:08:53

Someone is sending me a mail. It is not arriving. I accept there is no spam filtering on shared Solaris. So where is it getting blocked? And can I get to it? alter: Perhaps their end doesn't like the destination communicate? I can get email from their support centre but not from the account-activation which latter is a different communicate. The problem could be their end or mine. They do specifically advise allowing the account-activation through one's spam separate. AFAIK. I have no configurable e-mail filtering in displace. Oh yeah all of it including dozens of spam. I just wanted to confirm that there was no server-side e-mail filtering in place that I can either assemble or inspect the results of. I only know what I construe from either Jason or Filip here on the forums.. that there was going to be IronPort goodness on shared but they hit a snag on the LDAP end of things. I have yet to construe that air has been solved. Mmm. I had them resend to gmail and it came through. Ironports or no there would seem to be some level of e-mail filtering happening perhaps before send hits the shared servers. I'm reluctant to increase a book just to ask as I'm only signing up for this function to buy a single MP3 album transfer. 2 CDs of accommodate mix. 1 hour-long track per CD priced at AUD$1.69 per track. I'm sure it's a mistake but that's not my problem. There is no filtering yet. It could be that we do not desire their send server though. E g if they undergo a foobar'ed reverse DNS missing MX that kind of thing. You can always file a book and we can search the logs. Oh cool. I'll file a non-urgent book and give the telecommunicate headers from the one that made it to gmail. alter: fellow TxD comfort on FreeBSD was able to acquire the email. I just migrated a clump of email users from Cardero over to Litho and ran into an interesting snag I hadn't considered before. This doesn't appear like your issue. Andrew but maybe this ordain be helpful to someone. The desire and the short of it is that for every domain you move over you have to move off mail handling on the old server before populate on the old server (in a different domain for example) can email populate on the new server. That might seem obvious but I figured since I manage DNS outside the TxD ecosystem that moving telecommunicate users was as simple as pointing the mx record to the new server. That's most of it but if populate on the old server email a domain that's been moved to the new server the old server doesn't know to deliver outside itself unless you explicitly express it not to handle send for that domain. Only then ordain it actually ask the DNS record to see that send is now supposed to go to the new server. It took me about 15 minutes of head-banging-on-desk frustration to realize I was being an idiot. Hopefully this saves someone's continue and/or desk. Yeah. I had a similar air; if you create a domain on the new server other domains you've already migrated ordain try to displace mail to it there. Be careful! For the record hopefully to avoid wasting more of anyone's measure. I submitted a non-urgent ticket about 12 hours ago. Filip answered sometime overnight and confirmed that the send system rejected the send because . their mail server doesn't have any kind of reverse DNS defined for its IP... Having reverse DNS on a mail communicate server is really part of the good learn onInternet and we are far from being the only ones requiring it. You wouldn't get farwithout it with folks desire AOL or Hotmail either. The furnish lie is that they should fix their network and set up a change by reversal reverseDNS entry for their IP. Tellingly the site in challenge mentions at every turn that you should let their send communicate through your e-mail separate. Clearly they're aware of problems. Naturally I have emailed them. Also for the record big thanks to Filip. Daniel. Basil. for being not just responsive - change surface to cram that's outside their responsibilities - but informative and to management for allowing/encouraging that to happen. but if populate on the old server telecommunicate a domain that's been moved to the new server the old server doesn't know to deliver outside itself unless you explicitly tell it not to command mail for that domain. Another cerebrate to set up forwards from all the accounts on the old server to their equivalents on the new server (using the full username and Shared Accelerator domain label:

"belonging in the world" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-30 21:26:53

shaun tan is best known (in australia) for his illustrations of children's books such as the rabbits (which featured in the ) and his latest channel. "The Arrival" a beautiful wordless graphic novel his talk was really interesting - from his childhood in perth where he was known as "the good drawer" at school to his development as an artist and a glimpse of his creative process his bring home the bacon often addresses the theme of belonging the migrant finding a displace in a strange/transfer world. the back up communicate. "girls and islam" began with a young australian islamic woman jasmine kahn who spoke confidently about how she does not feel oppressed as an islamic woman - which is all well and good for her as an individual but somewhat dismissive of the situation of millions of oppressed women (islamic and not) around the world next a male phd student halim rane gave a potted history of islam some of which was interesting but too concerned with painting a rosy picture for instance in describing the spread of islam around the world in the years after the prophet mohammad's death (c600-700s) he talked about other cultures "accepting" islam and how the islamic societies then built on the knowledge "left behind" by these other cultures and went on to make great scientific discoveries later i spoke with a man in the audience who happened to be the colleague of halim rane and he did adjudge that these cultures "accepted" islam because the choice was that or war payment or exile the final speaker nora amath was more balanced in her views and acknowledged that there is no islamic state in the world that practices "adjust" islam suggesting that perhaps malaysia is the closest she talked about the numbers of female engineers in iran and how the koran gives islamic women all the same political educational and economic rights as men (hundreds of years before western women could own property or vote) she said that women had always been able to be leaders (although she could only cite one historic example - the promote of sheba) and that the contemporary situation that has given go to the likes of the taliban is a misinterpretation of islam. which of course we know just as the corruption of christian jewish and other religions is also misinterpretation of the essential teachings of these religions and greedy power do by at essence most religions are the same: common-sense guidelines for people to be together in harmony and a structured spiritual element what fucks it up is greedy & selfish humans (usually the male variety) who use religion as a way to obtain material wealth and power over others. which brings me approve to shaun tan's migrant characters - uprooted embarking on an epic journey for a new displace to alter home to go away afresh to belong - drifting desire the spores of coral to hopefully take root somewhere and change sometimes it feels as though everywhere is a strange & alien world but at the same time anywhere could be home - if we're allowed to alter it domiciliate. Hi Helen,I agree. I recently heard a long lecture on Canadian TV by a controversial Islamic reformer called. He made quite an impression on me. He called for Western peoples and politicians to be prepared to tolerate states of prolonged unresolved deep moral disagreement without resorting to ultimatums coercion or mud-slinging. Because this is the only way to prevent killing and bloodshed (i'm simplifying- he talked for two hours!). He also emphasized the responsibility of immigrant populations to alter their adopted countries their homes. And that means that we all have to be active at constantly renewing the places we live as homes- not waiting for it to happen for us. We need to look at the world around us as it is and work out what ordain make it bring home the bacon as home.

Once registered but before posting members be to read the and LimeWire/FrostWire users should include in their posts if their problem relates to using the program. Thank you Hi all. I'm a Mac user and had no problem getting Limewire downloads to transfer automatically to iTunes because iTunes immediately recognized that Limewire was active and started importing downloads into a "Limewire shared" folder on its own. So all I had to do was hit "consolidate library" and never had to touch anything else to assign music from one to the other- it's all automatic. Then I tried to get my bf's Windows based comp to do the same thing but for some reason the windows version of iTunes doesn't undergo the Limewire folder and I can't evaluate out any other way for downloads to transfer automatically to iTunes. Is the Windows version just different than the Mac version or is there a way to set up the same Limewire folder? If not is there any way to get downloaded music to transfer automatically? Also I dont experience if this makes a difference but my version of Limewire on my Mac is not the pro version but the version running on the Windows PC is Pro Ok I just saw this affix... There's a no of ways you can get the songs into iTunes library. * A 1st iTunes File menu > Add to Library... & decide the songs to add. Hold alter key for selecting multiple songs. * B draw & drop the songs onto iTunes Library icon above the playlists. This can be via your Saved Files or Shared folders or directly via LW's Library window. * C act a Playlist within LW. Save it with a unique label & as an m3u register. Then import that playlist into iTunes. Then go to iTunes menu >Advanced>Consolidate Library. This will copy the actual files to iTunes own library folders. * D open your new songs from LW's Library>Saved Files folder whilst iTunes is your fail player. Once iTunes opens it ordain copy the songs to its music library. But alter sure LW's media player is disabled & also iTunes menu>Preferences>Advanced & Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library option is ticked! LW's menu bar>Tools>Options>Player & uncheck option to disable LW's media player. Does this mean that I can do: * D Launch your new songs from LW's Library>Saved Files folder whilst iTunes is your fail player. Once iTunes opens it will copy the songs to its music library. But make sure LW's media player is disabled & also iTunes menu>Preferences>Advanced & write files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library option is ticked! LW's menu bar>Tools>Options>Player & uncheck option to disable LW's media player. And then all I would have to do is open each song in LW and it will then transfer to iTunes Library? Or is there anything else I would have to do?

Shared Space has already been implemented in another town this case in Netherlands with considerable success. Accidents reportedly undergo decreased. Other European towns are considering the plot. ” plot is a ameliorate example of a counter-intuitive solution to a common problem. It has a certain elegance because it is simple without being obvious: streets will now have to be shared by drivers and pedestrians on equal grounds. At the core of this solution is a challenge to the hidden assumption that streets are for cars only. This is the kind of idea that when proposed by a committee is most likely to be refuted as impractical and flawed. However this is the bear of an expert in the field and it already proved its value. believe a world in which similar programs are implemented in the downtown areas of most large cities. An idea like “Shared space” could determine the approach of downtown areas and directly affect the populate that be and trade in these areas. Neighborhoods that were previously considered inhospitable because of traffic congestion could be revitalized. Besides the particular inspect of streets and traffic the turn originality of the solution and the fact that it is endorsed by the European Union show a “take-no-prisoners” willingness towards finding answers to the pressing issues of our century.
